Academic Progress
At BPP Institute, your academic journey matters. As part of our ongoing commitment to your success, our Attendance & Academic Progress policy helps you stay on track through clear benchmarks, dedicated support, and timely feedback.
Below you’ll find important guidelines around attendance, academic progress, and the steps we take when extra assistance is needed. Understanding these will help you make the most of your learning experience.
Academic Progress Requirements
Attendance
Attendance at lectures and tutorials is essential unless you're already completing your units without needing additional contact time. Being present in class matters. Not just because instructors may cover material you can’t get elsewhere, but because some assessment activities (tests, in-class tasks, etc.) are scheduled during class time.
All assignment due dates are posted on Moodle. Keeping up with class and Moodle deadlines helps ensure you don’t miss anything important.
Academic Progress
We expect all students to make consistent academic progress. At BPP, that means passing at least 50% of your study load in any given period. If you fall below that threshold, we will reach out to let you know you’re at risk and will convene an intervention plan to help you get back on track. This may include extra help, modified schedules, or dedicated support resources to help you meet your course requirements within the expected timeframe.
First-Term Requirement & Intervention
Your first term is especially important. New students are required to attend at least 75% of all classes. If attendance or grades fall below our “at risk” markers, we will activate our Intervention Plan in accordance with the Attendance & Academic Progress Procedure. The goal is to support you early to address any academic challenges before they become major obstacles.
