What we look for

At BPP Institute, we focus on developing the key skills that every student needs to succeed. These are built into the curriculum and assessed at every level of study. Including:

  • Academic discipline

  • Workplace skills and values

  • Communication proficiency

  • Critical analysis and problem-solving

How you’ll study

All our units are delivered at 108 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, through a combination of face-to-face lectures and tutorials as described in each unit outline. In addition to scheduled teaching hours, all students are expected to dedicate additional time to self-directed learning. These include:

  • Reading

  • Reviewing lectures

  • Tutorial and assessment preparation

  • Assessment completion

International students must undertake a full-time study load during their course.

Progression and completion

Higher education courses demand discipline and dedication. Progression in each course depends on meeting the academic requirements for the semester. These results determine whether units are continued, repeated, or completed for graduation. The outcomes for each study period are released within two weeks of the final examination date.

Fees and refunds

Your tuition fees and payment schedules are confirmed at enrollment. Refunds are available in specific cases and can be found in the full policies document here. Always review fee information carefully before enrolling.

Student rights and responsibilities

As a student at BPP Institute, you have the right to learn in a safe, inclusive and respectful environment. Students have the right to clear information on courses and assessments, along with access to academic and well-being support whenever needed.

In return, students are encouraged to:

  • Engage fully with your studies

  • Act with honesty, integrity and respect

  • Follow BPP Institute’s policies and procedures

Student support services

Success is about more than academics. From day one, a full range of support services is available to help every student thrive. Whether you need academic guidance or well-being resources, we’ve got you covered:

  • Academic skills workshops, library services and online learning tools

  • Well-being services such as counselling and health resources

  • Careers and employability advice

  • Dedicated international student support

Student well-being and safety

Your safety and well-being come first. Policies on well-being, equal opportunity, anti-discrimination and critical incident management ensure support is always available. They outline how fairness is promoted, discrimination is prevented, and incidents are managed, as well as where to access help when needed.

Policies and procedures

Admissions and enrolment

Studying at the BPP Institute requires meeting course entry standards and enrolling by the published deadlines. Credit transfer or recognition of prior learning may be available, and the Student Services team can advise on variations, deferrals, or withdrawals.

Academic progress and assessment

Academic integrity is about acting honestly in all your work. Plagiarism, cheating and dishonesty are not tolerated at BPP Institute. To help you start on the right track, all new students must complete the online Academic Integrity Module on Moodle before beginning their studies.

Assessments are designed to be fair and transparent, with clear marking criteria and constructive feedback provided. If needed, results can be reviewed or appealed through a formal process, which you can find in our Student Handbook.

Complaints and appeals

Fairness is central to the BPP Institute. Any issue or complaint can be raised through the complaints and appeals process, with policies in place to ensure concerns are heard and resolved appropriately. Academic decisions may also be formally reviewed or appealed.

Governance and quality assurance

Behind the scenes, the BPP Institute follows clear policies on governance, compliance and quality assurance. These safeguards uphold high academic standards and drive continual improvements to the student experience.

Working while studying in Australia

Balancing work and study when you’re an international student is a lot to take on and studying abroad can be isolating. We want you to know that we’ve got your back. If you believe your employer is exploiting or underpaying you, we encourage you to contact the Fair Work Ombudsman’s Infoline on 13 13 94 or use their anonymous reporting service.

You can find all the information for international students and an outline of your rights and protections at work in our handbook. You can also reach out to a member our Student Experience team or our Student Ambassadors.
